National Fitness Day is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping us raise awareness of its importance in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles.

National Fitness Day sees a huge range of activity options enjoyed by participants of all ages, such as ‘plank offs’, yoga and pilates classes, treadmill challenges, high-street HIIT classes, dance-offs, mass walks and many more.

Before I began my journey, I really wouldn’t have said I had a big interest in fitness. Now, doing something I love no longer feels like a chore, so get out there this National Fitness Day and try something new!

This year, we are looking out for the most inspiring #Fitness2Me heroes from the nine English regions and the three nations that make up the UK, to promote their stories to a national audience in the run-up to National Fitness Day.
